You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

Logged in for like 10m here and see more organic posting about live sports (boxing) than I’ve ever seen on Threads. And I follow a ton of #NBAThreads people who work their asses off to try to make it happen. Threads is just not good for live reactions. Encouraged by this.

Scheduled my first shingles vaccine for tomorrow. Turned 50 in September but was just planning to check with my doc about it at my upcoming February appt.

But with the Kennedy appt coming and his anti vax stances, not waiting around. It’s 2-6 months between doses. Not taking chances.

Current approach to following is to mass follow starter packs and quickly build up following list. Will then start to curate it better for getting information and content I want and need.
