Yellowfin was one of our recent releases 💛🦔🐾
Thankfully, we’ve had several good weather windows, allowing many hedgehogs to return to the wild. All are released back to the area they were found, with a nest box and supportive feeding 🌿

Faecal samples help us see what’s going on inside our new admissions 🦔
Some parasites are normal, but illness or stress can cause numbers to surge. Many recent arrivals have high parasite burdens, making monitoring and treatment essential.

Fanta has graduated to an outdoor hutch to acclimisite before release - it’s amazing how much mess one little hedgehog can make!

Panther is making slow but steady progress with her ringworm treatment 🦔 Ringworm is a fungal skin infection that often needs weeks of care and extra biosecurity. We’re running low on oatmeal spray & sleeves—please see our wishlist if you can help 💚

Lemonade was one of yesterday’s new admissions, found during the daytime with an obvious eye problem. He weighs an incredible 1.3kg! We’ve started treatment, and he’ll have an anaesthetic in the next day or two so our vet can fully assess his eye.
December 29, 2025 at 3:18 PM
Our second admission today is Mojito, another ringworm case. He also has a significant number of cut and broken prickles, possibly caused by a strimmer. No major injuries found so far, but he’ll be closely monitored.
