Armadillo update 🦔🐾
He’s recovering from ringworm — a fungal skin infection that can cause dry skin, hair loss and sometimes prickle loss.
Progress is slow but steady, and he’s heading in the right direction 💪💚

He’s completed his treatment and has moved to an outside hutch today to acclimatise before release 🙌
On to the next stage of his journey back to the wild 💚

🦔 New admission: Bandicoot
One of 8 hedgehogs admitted today. He was found out in the daytime and arrived in very poor body condition.
After subcutaneous fluids and some warmth, he’s looking much brighter this evening 🫶💚

Wilhemina is making slow but steady progress with her ringworm treatment, she is regrowing prickles but he skin still has a little way to go yet 🫶

Introducing Racoon 🦝
Admitted from Pelyn Vets she is currently on treatment for a respiratory infection and so far has a great appetite which is a good really positive sign 🫶

Meet Lorikeet 👋
Found out in the daytime and taken to a local vet — never a good sign for a nocturnal animal💔

She’s suffering from severe ringworm and skin mites, but is now stable and receiving treatment 💚

Narwhal joined us a few days ago after an entrapment incident. Her claws are very worn from trying to escape, but there’s no sign of infection. We’ll continue to monitor her closely.

Octopus was one of six new admissions yesterday after being rescued from a drain. Her claws are worn but show no signs of infection. We’ll be monitoring her breathing closely over the next few days.

Dingo is a leucitic hedgehog — meaning he has a rare pale colouring caused by partial loss of pigmentation. Sadly, Dingo is very poorly and currently in an incubator receiving intensive care.
