Still standing
Every week I confess that I have sinned by thought, word, and deed. I have not loved God with my whole heart, I have not loved my neighbors as myself. I also pray for help to do better. I’ve really needed to do that a lot more lately.

Here’s a budget cut for congress to pass. No TP or soap for the executive or legislative branch bathrooms until they stop kissing MAGA butts.

I support presidential leash laws. This dog is crapping in too many yards and needs some discipline. Step up congress and clean up. The smell is ruining everything and our neighbors are justifiably and unnecessarily upset. Send Congress some presidential pooper scoopers.

Tis whole trade war thing is a scam to loot the markets. Short sales are allowing huge fortunes to grow. Crash buy, sell, crash buy again and he’s in control of the biggest crash instigator of them all. That plus crypto is all the money laundering, graft machine is in full production.

Feeling the overload of stuff hitting hard today:socially, politically, the whole dang thing. Heading to lead worship for Ash Wednesday and feeling my mortality. Life is hard enough, we don’t need to make it harder for anyone. Peace to all.

At today's @houseagdems.bsky.social hearing, I asked about the impact of removing 11 million undocumented workers from our labor force.

The answer: It would be devastating for Oregon growers & for our economy.

We need real solutions that will support farm families & bring down costs.

How am I coping? I’m going to try each and every day to find some small way to do something kind or comforting for someone else. It’s not much but some days it’s all I can do. Also, I’m going to do my best to spread truth and call on others to do the same.

When the work gives you lemons, make lemonade. What do you make when the world gives you stupid?

Refusing to look, refusing rage. I know it doesn’t change what’s happening, but I’m choosing to engage in the world in a different way. I refuse to give up the ethics in my heart regardless of what the there choose. Take what stands I can when I can.

It can be exhausting to keep trying to fighting for love and goodwill in the world. We all may not agree on everything, but kindness and love adds up. Share a story of kindness. Cheer and share a story of others working to do something meaningful to improve anything, even if it’s not your thing.

Declaring random act of kindness Wednesday. It’s been a pretty crappy run the last couple weeks for so many people so I’m hoping to find some way to make something a little more tolerable in some small way.
