NEW VIDEO - Donkey Kong Bananza is the best video game of 2025 and I can't stop thinking about it. Listen to me talk about it for nearly 57 minutes. Video link is...right here! ๐Ÿ‘‰ youtu.be/f1AIn274KCI?... ๐Ÿ‘ˆ
Stay safe out there, Minneapolis. Don't give up the good fight. #NowPlaying

Even a decade later, he was still so far ahead of us all. There'll never be another. #NowPlaying

After going so far off the creative rails with their last couple of records (and imploding after Reba left to play guitar for Marilyn Manson), it's easy to forget how good this album was. Code Orange really was a powerhouse and it's a shame they never reached this level again. #NowPlaying

New video script is going very well, but I'm torn. I have a reasonably sound thesis, but I'm tempted to go right for the jugular and make the most clickbait-iest title I've ever composed. Not sure what to do.

In 2026 wizzy is looking for video editing work!

I can do video essays, shorts, narration, podcasts, audio mixing, talking head video and more. While most of my experience is in gaming I'm open to anything. My style is detail oriented to let the voice of a piece sing without distraction.

Don't let Krafton off the hook either, my dude. They suck just as much.

I have one of those models myself and it works quite well. Most of the heavy lifting in cleaning up audio quality can be done in post-production, so I'd recommend diving into audio editing tutorials on Youtube. You'd be surprised at how much can be improved without having to buy a whole new device.

There's something therapeutic about seeing famous game developers, instead of talking about game development or the industry, just talking about saunas and drinking alcohol. www.youtube.com/watch?v=70tC...

I like to imagine that Yoko Taro is using his Nier android magic to digitally broadcast the face-covering image into our minds, all Ghost in the Shell "Laughing Man" style.

It's the same vibe as Dark Souls, a game that's become formative and innovative for many people, one that I had never experienced until I made that video. I'm not necessarily going to make videos on these older games, though there's one in particular that I'm working through right now. Stay tuned.

I'm going to make an effort to play fewer "new" games in 2026. It's less about "muh backlog" and more because there are a lot of very groundbreaking games released over the decades, the kinds of creative statements that have shaped the medium. I want to experience why those games are so legendary.

2025 was not a good year... a deep creative rut, a ton of anxiety limiting social interaction, and most importantly, the passing of my mother. Even with so many struggles still lingering, I'm really hoping 2026 moves in a stronger, better direction. Happy New Year, everyone. Let's kick ass in '26.

Here's a Topsters of all of the albums I really dug this year. 64 awesome albums out of the 730 that I listened to this year made it here. Not a bad ratio. #TopAlbumsOf2025

I know you have a librarian background, but the word I often think to describe your style as a YouTube thinker and creative is "well read." As straightforward as that is, you always have this very intensive, but down-to-earth approach to the things you love, and that's easy to appreciate. ๐Ÿ‘

I had 1000+ followers on X/Twitter and I left that behind because I just didn't want to use that site anymore. Now I'm crawling at only 297 after a bit more than a year here. I know it's a beg, but it would really make me smile to get to 300 followers here on Bluesky by the end of the year. Hoping.

Woke up and literally all my shit is gone. Presents. Decorations. Everything. Some of my neighbors said they saw a green furry guy dressed as Santa looking into people's windows so the police are out looking for him. But like, God damn. I hope they find this fucking guy and lock him up.

It's funny, because I'd probably argue that The Wind Waker is a more mature Zelda, at least thematically. Though I do need to replay Twilight Princess again. It's been a while since I booted it up.

Back in my early years playing video games, I remember that websites posted their "Most Anticipated" lists to prep for next year's wave of games. I also remember that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was strangely referred to as "Mature Zelda" prior to the full game title being revealed.

Just finished Skate Story, because I was really anticipating this one and I wanted to play it before the year was over, but...damn...what a frustrating, over-indulgent mess of a game. The only thing I really enjoyed about it is the music.
