We have reached the maximum velocity to successfully reject the takeoff 🛫 My special sauce ML is looking completely fit to get MuTate airborne. Using the best tools in the most low-effort way gets off the ground fast and pays dividends quickly. In this case, I wrote the tools. Happy 2026 ✨🎉🥂

The situation looks suspiciously close to MuTate acquiring machine learning nodes sooner rather than later. That's one of 3-4 available win conditions. If the pace of progress keeps up, development will focus on this aspect at least in the short term.

"but the game is the same. Leveraging attention." - People from my tribe talking about a post-Google world essentially being a continuation of the attention economy. That's the future unless internet realizes that it needs to build an intentional economy by using sophisticated bottom up tools.

Building 4kB micro AGI will torpedo the entire conversation around big hosted AI and fair-use. It won't know half of human history, but it will learn while in use and adapt in real time. It will be a toolkit for integration with world models, bringing precision and versatility.

Rediscovered some long lost screenshots of an EGL demo I put together circa 2013(?) This was from early in my switch to #Android #programming when #mobile was still in its upswing. The pattern is created by instanced Conway's Game of Life simulations and feedback rendering. MuTate will be good.

90s techno-optimism was right, but subject to Amara's law. Part of the dividends were accruing in a generation of programmers kept alive by the tech treadmill dole, ZIRP, and other "funny money" as we call it. In the last two months, nearly every garbage thing I've ever worked on has found a role.

Doing Wayland support for MuTate tomorrow. Might test on Hyperland since my usual XFCE does not run on Wayland yet. While at it, making music-driven window decorations is a possibility. Hyperland has a ton of users. If the drawing integration isn't too steep, could be pure win.

A lot of imagination doesn't automatically scale up to full productions. Growing this kind of independently created stuff is a strong role for demand-size organized crowd-funding. #blender
