Minimum of like 8.5 oz seems a bit much…

This is what I tell people when they complain there’s too many games. That’s the point.
So. What’s made baseball steadying to my mental health this year is:

1. Something I can pay attention to where there is joy and something good regularly happens.

2. Low stakes as far as the wider world.

3. Low stakes day-to-day because there are 162 games in the regular season.

When I tell friends no one can read anymore they think I'm being glib but it's an actual crisis.
so, in the course of a month, the New York Times reassigned four veteran critics, the Washington Post’s film critic took a buyout, Vanity Fair decided it doesn’t need a film critic at all, and the Associated Press got rid of book criticism altogether?

Cool.

Most Gen Zers I call usually open with “hang on my AirPods aren’t working, can you hear me?”
I have learned that Gen Z expects the person calling to say "hello" first, instead of the person answering; upending a century of phone norms. You know what? fine, I say. Phone calls aren't what they used to be anyway www.businessinsider.com/gen-z-phone-...
Gen Z doesn't say 'hello' when answering the phone. I'm concerned.
Gen Z is making up its own etiquette rules when it comes to answering the phone. Some of them aren't saying "hello." They want you to first.

It seems the things people like about SUPERMAN are exactly what I didn't like about it, which has me questioning whether I stink or something.

I saw the new Mission Impossible on the biggest screen in Austin last night and it has fully left my memory. Cruise was on a plane for some reason? I don’t think he ever says the thing from the trailer? idk

Seeing the timeline try to put logic on the movie tariff stuff. That will prove unhelpful in time. It’s just regular Nazi stuff. We’re through the looking glass and headed toward having our own Continental Films type situation.

This is literally Nazi shit.
Trump says movies produced outside the U.S. are a national security threat. So he’s imposing a 100% tariff on all movies that are “produced in foreign lands.”

Sovereignty beating Journalism is just a bit too on the nose for our times
Even though it’s the favorite it would be very funny if Journalism won the Derby.

Something weird I saw in Chicago yesterday was like 8 protestors with great signs out front of a Tesla storefront and 20 some jacked to the teeth cops on every corner watching them.

Also there was a hideous purple Tesla on the same block.

Happy 40th Birthday to Carmen Sandiego!

Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego was released on April 23, 1985 by Broderbund. The Almanac it shipped with was updated with each new print run, which gives you an easy way to identify which edition a copy is. But what if you come across a sealed copy?
