Yes, I work and no, you won’t have heard about it. And still, after decades of doing what I do….no one has been able to come up with a job description. When that day comes, listen to the roar of “Yes! That’s it!”.
Of all my 4am fretting wishes “a predictable budget” is the one that’s granted….?

Seriously?

No need to leak it, whoever you are - picking ANY other wish would have been more helpful. I want a redo.
I miss the good old days when a Budget was predictable and summed up by %, VAT, fags, booze - in that order.

Desperately scrabbling to place blame elsewhere for spending like a loon last Friday, collapsing in a heap on Sunday, only to realise it’s Groundhog Black Friday. Current longest suffering Mr PT’s blame test tube is full this week so I’m open to suggestions.

Strong contender for the Mr Deluded 2025 crown. “Mr Kyle insisted that ‘there are other people who are coming to this country because of the excitement in our economy at the moment’.”

I’m sorry, I’m still giggling.

Did I hear a ‘Who that?’. Exactamondo - that’s our Sec for Biz & Trade.

So happy to be out of here tomorrow. No water no wifi. Happy to be without when I’ve planned it. But not when it’s imposed. When I need to get stuff n stuff done. Grrrr. Welcome to life in London.

Time to throw dignity to the wind, bung half a cake in a soup bowl, sit cross legged on the floor, and eat it with a fork. That’s a Saturday morning you get to earn at my age.

Ground down by perpetual reels of kids playing grown-up on Reeves’ Amateur Hour. Need at least an ad-break between epics of sheer stupidity and fiscal incompetence.

You may only read my next sentence if you promise not to tell Rachel Reeves, in case it gives her any ideas.

Spain used to charge a Sun Tax.

Given Starmer’s clear University era views on the Monarchy, I imagine he will be delighted to pass an Act of Parliament to strip Andrew.

I passed by a “protest” foolish kids chose to stage on Oct 7 - to proclaim they’ve charged their Uni with genocide - chanters anonymous in masks, scarves and designer sunnies. So, Dropped out in Disgust with time to spare volunteering with THIS, right? I saw not one look down as they snaked past.
