I'll never forget how inspiring the Apollo missions were to my brother and me as kids. They showed us what our country and humanity can accomplish when we work together toward a common goal.

This cosmic butterfly is IRAS 23077+6707, the largest planet-forming disc seen around a young star yet!

Seven years from tonight a small asteroid might make a new 1.3 kilometer wide crater on the Moon. Of course the refined path of 22024 YR4 may well rule this out between now and then, but for a couple years there can be a bit of photogenic suspense. Rendered in Electric Image Animator.

C’est avec une très grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de notre collègue Yannick Mellier. Yannick était un astronome éminent, figure internationale de la cosmologie moderne, fondateur et directeur de TERAPIX de 1997 à 2011, Consortium Lead de la mission spatiale Euclid depuis 2011.
