Wand mullein, a non-native plant for #YellowThu It doesn't appear on any invasive lists for Florida, although I have seen it growing in the wild in numerous places. #bloomscrolling #flower #yellow #macro 🌿 🌼

The native wildflower, bitterweed, has drama unfolding on its flower. Not sure who the aggressor is, but a wasp has the attention of a green lynx spider. #nativeplant #nature #wildflowers #yellow #spiders #bugsky #arachnids 🌎 🕷️ 🌻 #wildlife See ALT for details.

Since I only normally post plants and animals, I'm using this as an excuse to show the Atlantic Ocean from A1A in Palm Beach. These are sea grapes, a native Florida plant found frequently along the beaches. #nativeplants #nature #ocean #beach #Florida #sky

We had a very powerful storm which knocked down several trees in my neighborhood. I noticed a yellow leaf on one of the trees. It was an imperial moth female still hanging on to the fallen tree branch. Look closely for its antennae. #mothmonday #bugsky #nature #moths #inverts #insects

A first for me, a Seminole Texas crescent visiting climbing asters a few weeks ago. Some butterfly taxonomists consider it to be a subspecies of the Texas crescent. #butterfly 🦋 #nature #wildlife #bugsky #insects #invertebrates #naturalscience

This wheel bug was seen last week. It's a crested species of predaceous assassin bug that can spew noxious liquid and its bite is worse than a wasp's sting. Otherwise, it's a beneficial insect. #bugsky #insects #invertebrates
