i honestly don't think the writing is that bad, the casting and the fact that the actor Holly Hunter was given free range to create the abomination that is captain? Ake is the biggest issue for me

if practically means "going along with the whims of writers and actors" then no we've been critical of TOS, TNG, DS9, VOG, DISC, PIC, SNW, LD and Prodigy, much of that criticism is valid and has made this franchise better. and we know now better about the future then we did in the 1960s.

All good, i live in Australia, when our small neighbor east timor was being attacked buy Indonesian "insurgents" we risked war with a country of 200million to stop terrible atrocities, i see Europe with a similar thing happening on its door step and doing very little, i get your frustration.
