Agreed on literally all points it is SO weird!!! They’re trying to do TLoU2 so bad but Abby and Ellie were aggressive strawmen, whereas the Yotei Six are psycho murderers who tried to burn a child to death and are destroying a country

I’m coming to the terms that mha ending is like the end of my childhood. It’s the last constant from my childhood that’s still around and it’s kinda bittersweet. Almost everything now will be from the complete view as an adult.

Kingdom Hearts is such a good example of emotion focused storytelling. Everyone on earth understands the feeling conveyed by "I guess my summer vacation is over" and there's so many moments in those games meant to convey that exact same feeling

I’m so lucky my favorite games as a kid where sonic generations, uncharted 3, spiderman web of shadows, and game dev tycoon. These 4 games have built me to be able to play a shit ton of genres without it being out side of my comfort zone.

While the world has gone to shit I still seem to find the good in the small things my family,my fiancé, my friends, good video games, great tv shows, and awesome movies. All of it has really kept me sane to the point that I finally made it to 24 as of yesterday. But I’m looking forward to 25.

I think why a lot of adaptations are bad is because Hollywood would is scared of new ideas people want to pitch their new ideas under the guise of an adaptation to get it accepted quicker.

I think reviewers have a distinct problem different from the average player that makes it almost impossible for them to discern pacing. Because reviewers have dead lines
Anything that slows them down from beating a game quicker is inherently annoying.

So I played all the old 2d mario games to completion yeah 2d mario has very little appeal to me. Surpassed by many games that came after. Yes they were first but that doesn’t mean they were the best.

I’m starting to realize i fundamentally disagree with how early Mario is designed. Like from Mario 1 to Mario 64 is filled with aggravation. Auto scrolling, swimming , bullshit puzzles. It’s all my worst nightmares.
