Just a dude. Enjoys discussions. Disdains Hot Takes. Loves his wife and dog. Hopefully, an ExPat soon.
Telling that I was Cheering for Canada tonight in the 4-Nations Tournament.

When the u.s. Captain hopes for Trump to show up and support them . . .

Oh, Canada . . .

Banning “men” from women’s NCAA athletic competitions as transgendered participants is really some next-level problem solving.

The 10, or so, athletes in question, across all levels of collegiate levels may be saddened, but good for the rest of us! Phew!

BTW, still haven’t fixed eggs, gas, etc.

It’s telling that in a time of crisis, the richest person in the world is looking to assign blame, as opposed to asking, “What can I do to help?”

As people leave Threads for BlueSky, my wife asked, “Are you following me on BlueSky?”

Me: “No. Because I can talk to you.”

She laughed, “Okay, SmartAss.”

@karaswisher.bsky.social Honest question about Elon Musk and the Cybertruck incident.

He was defending/explaining the “safety” of the Cybertruck by saying “all the telemetry was positive” at the time of the explosion.

Was he mansplaining using SpaceX vocab, or admitting Tesla tracks its cars?

Reading Trump’s take on HB-1 visas, I can’t help but feel I’ve seen this before.

Joffrey, the power-hungry child king ostensibly took “counsel” from The Hand of the King, the person with the real power and the person who put him on the throne.

Delighted to announce the start of, Squid Game: MAGA edition.

Musk, of MAGA critics of his immigration views:

“And those contemptible fools must be removed from the Republican Party, root and stem.”

Deplorables, contemptible fools. Tomato, tomahto.

@janecoaston.bsky.social A Day of the Jackal has added to the music. First, a bit of Radiohead. Today’s episode starts with The Kills. (I found them through Anthony Bourdain.)

As a Public Service Announcement, know that Trump and his cronies are watching South Korea’s conservative Prime Minister declaring martial law.

Not out of concern, but to take notes and learn how to do it faster and better.

I’ve an honest and “Okay Boomer” question.

How does one go about blocking an account?

I’ve farted around looking for that but, so far, I’m the idiot.

Caveat Emptor. Or, Soy Tonto.

Waiting for Trump to add Ron Swanson to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency. To cut everything.

Scott Galloway had me laughing this morning as he announced Trump’s Cabinet appointment of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen to be Head of Spice Production on Arrakis.

OK. All of the reporting on the Trump Organization Fraud Trial is off!

It has been found as fraud by Summary Judgement. Meaning the judge didn’t waste time or resources for a trial. Too much evidence.

This is the penalty phase. This “trial” is for how severe the punishment will be.

Twitter? X? The platform formerly known as Twitter?

Problem solved: Just call it TwiX.

Plus, Elon will hate that.

Mulling over the UAW strike, its notable that the top three employees for the companies being struck made $74.8 million last year and they didn’t even break a sweat on the line as CEO’s.

Too Much and Never Enough is also a title of the biography of Trump by his niece.

Any attorneys want to answer this question Re: Sensitive documents in Mar-a-Lago.

If Trump’s attorneys have filed a motion for a SCIF at Mar-a-Lago to review evidence, isn’t that de facto proof that he had illegally held Top Secret documents? No SCIF when he had them, but now as evidence?!
