Let’s stop debating whether or not there’s a mental health crisis. There is.

Mental health makes up 20% of health issues but only gets 10% of NHS funding.

There are 2 million people on a waiting list for mental health support.

This is not a culture war issue. It’s real and urgent.

Anyone in Glasgow know of any UX events coming up in the next few months? Would love to connect with some fellow UXers - especially those working with charities / non profits 🧑🏻‍💻📱

I feel like if Bluesky doesn't already know about tree.fm you would want to. It loops recorded sounds from random forests from around the world & yes, it is just really, really nice.
tree.fm – Tune Into Forests From Around The World 🌳🔈
People around the world recorded the sounds of their forests, so you can escape into nature, while in lockdown or unable to travel. Use this site to chill, meditate or do some digital shinrin-yoku.

Any cancer patients in South West England or West Midlands, there’s a brilliant free app that provides NHS localised information on your cancer pathway. It was really useful to my sister and mum who recently went through treatment in Cornwall.

Could tech help tackle the UK’s loneliness epidemic, or does it risk losing the magic of organic connections by chance? How can we strike a balance—and are there modern low-tech solutions instead? #loneliness #tech #ukhealth
