Out now in JAMA IM: shifting statin prescribing behavior with a default setting. @kitdelgado.bsky.social, @acfanaroff.bsky.social & colleagues saw a huge jump in 90-day statin prescriptions after setting the EHR default to 90 instead of 30 days. This could improve adherence & health! #NudgeUnit
If you have to take a daily pill to reduce your risk of heart disease, wouldn't it be easier get your meds at the pharmacy 4 days/yr instead of 12?

The AHCAH waiver program allows hospitals to deliver acute medical care for Medicare and Medicaid patients at home. @hashemzikry.bsky.social, CHTI's Austin Kilaru & David Schriger sought to find out what types of hospitals have adopted the program, as that could inform ongoing policy decisions. ⬇️
