The AHCAH waiver program allows hospitals to deliver acute medical care for Medicare and Medicaid patients at home. @hashemzikry.bsky.social, CHTI's Austin Kilaru & David Schriger sought to find out what types of hospitals have adopted the program, as that could inform ongoing policy decisions. ⬇️
Participation in the Acute Hospital Care at Home (AHCAH) waiver program has predominantly involved large, urban, not-for-profit, and academic hospitals, with postextension participants being somewhat smaller and showing regional differences.
