Amazon announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

Among the nice surprises in today's 🇨🇦 jobs report: Manufacturing added 9K jobs in Oct despite Trump's attacks. That puts us above 0 on a year/year basis. Compare that to the self-inflicted LOSS of 78K manufacturing jobs in the US. Trump's trade war backfires for US workers. #cdnecon #canlab

Labor productivity has more than doubled since the late 1960s. But workers’ compensation has barely budged.

Yes. The economy is rigged in favor of the wealthy.

Donald Trump returned to the scene of the crime at the US Open men's final today. In 1997 he groped former model Amy Dorris in a private suite -- one of countless women the felon has raped, groped or forcibly kissed.
Amy Dorris, a former model, accuses Trump of sexually assaulting her at the U.S. Open in 1997. (Published 2020)

Supervised consumption saves lives and makes our communities safer.

Shame on the Ford government for playing politics with people’s lives.
Yesterday, @cmckenney.bsky.social
and I confronted Health Minister Sylvia Jones about the unsubstantiated statistics that she used to justify closing the supervised consumption site at the Somerset West Community Health Centre.

Morning everyone
We are living the Nazi playbook

Hitler declared a state of emergency to gain power.
After the Reichstag Fire, Hitler declared articles of the Weimar Constitution, allowing himself to rule by decree.
Hitler suspended civil rights. Paved the way for dictatorship

In Saskatchewan and Toronto, voters choose a variety of parties. But under our current system, both regions are locked into one-party domination.

This is not electoral justice. Proportional representation ensures fair results where every region is represented and every vote counts equally.

Exaggerating crime to “save” a city is a classic fascist play.

Mussolini did it.
Hitler did it.
Pinochet did it.

Now Trump’s doing it in D.C. — and the people who actually live there aren’t buying it.
