today I went through my sketchbooks of art from 2019~2024 (in order) and it was really refreshing to look at all the fun ideas I had for my OCs! Didn't realize past me left some really good stuff for me to peruse, now I gotta draw even more nice OC art for my future self to enjoy 😚

I just counted how many years I've had this OC and it's nearly 13 going on 14? SO OLD. He used to be a highschooler when I first created him, but now he's a grown-up with life problems and depression. the things life does to us.. 🤷‍♀️

After some pondering what ship dynamic I like the most, I noticed I like any, as long as it's with them. 🥺💖

Avarus and Saira in different ship dynamic situations. Forbidden Love as princess and thief, Saira is wearing a bright dress (for once), shoulder length curly fluffy hair and Avarus some worn out shirt, west, long hair as pony tail, chin beard, reaching one flower to Saira. 2nd is friends friends to lovers, showing two scenes once when they were teens, she was about 13 he was about 16, he's playing guitar sticking out his tongue as Saira is giggling, they are sitting next to each other. The other scene is them sitting right next to each other again, looking away from each other, blushing hard, which Avarus is trying to hide behind his hand. She's about 18 he's about 21, the are holding hands. 3rd one is Enemies to Lovers, featuring made-up species, Saira as Nagime, she has a floral pattern on her skin, small pointy ears, looking up to Avarus reaching out for his hand he's offering her. He's dark, covered in little black feathers over his arm, face and longer ones sticking out between his wild hair, he's a Tefura. He's holding up one hand for Saira to take, while the other one holds a glaive that is behind Saira back which makes her stand between him and his weapon. in the middle you see Avarus and Saira in their original designs of their story, doing both a finger heart, looking at each other sassily.

it's so frustrating how i can just kind of... scribble fan art of existing characters without really caring how good they look as long as I can get my point across
whereas I have REALLY high standards for my personal art and I get mad at how I can't draw my men as pretty as I'd like for them to be🤣
