I’d like to take this opportunity to lift the curtain for a moment and be strikingly candid, not for lack of grace but for love and appreciation for all of you. For much of my time on Earth I did not see myself reaching this age as a possibility. Even when I began VTubing, I considered it something to count down the hours, just a way to have fun while I was around. I figured I’d just see where life took me until 30. I had the drive to lay the foundation for this because I had no regard for anything else. It did not remotely cross my mind 4 years ago that I would amass a community of dedicated, likeminded and above all extraordinarily brave people to rally behind this, to the point it approached being a cause. I began championing the outlook of “Living As an Act of Defiance,” bearing your scars as a trophy of battle and a statement of intent to keep going at any cost. I sought to found a family for myself and others, an unbreakable bond that’d shoulder any weight & give them something to fight for. I almost didn’t make it. I didn’t see myself making it through 2025, this year proved to be one of the scariest I’ve lived through in my now-almost 3 decades. But I did make it, and I made it because of all of you. I survived a myriad of personal apocalypses because of the hope, companionship & love you’ve all shown. It is my life’s work to give that back.
