Judge Sara Ellis is setting a precedent alright.

The precedent of evidence-based jurisprudence the likes of which has rarely been seen in federal court.
As for the testimony of Border Patrol Chief Patrol Greg Bovino:

Ellis: "Defendant Bovino admitted that he lied about whether a rock hit him before he deployed tear gas in Little Village."

When Bovino threw a second tear gas canister at the crowd, the crowd was running away.

Response is usually, "He was just kidding."
What about the part during the campaign where Trump promised that prices were going to start coming down on Day One of his presidency? What happened to that? bsky.app/profile/atru...
Q: Food prices are still going up. Grocery prices are still going up. How do you respond?

MIKE JOHNSON: All of the economist have shown that food prices always go up. There's an inflationary level that's built in to grocery prices.

“Mommy! Mommy! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!”

That was a 2-year-old girl's reaction when she was hit with tear gas deployed by nearby immigration agents as she played in a Chicago park.

Her mother details their story to @NBCNews

Chicago residents say kids tear-gassed due to nearby immigration enforcement
A Chicago mother tells NBC News she and her 2-year-old were hit with a chemical agent. Many residents say the city wasn’t a “war zone”— until immigration agents swept through.

This is another reminder of how crucial it is to vote up AND down the ballot.

While not receiving much attention in the media, down-ballot positions are a critical line of defense against Trump-MAGA extremism.

Remember this as we head into an important election year in 2026.
1. JD Vance dismissed Tuesday's election as “a couple of elections in blue states.”

But there were significant contests around the country, including in purple and red states.

From coast to coast, voters rejected the MAGA agenda.

Let's review.

Six election results that didn’t make the headlines
Although Democratic victories in New York, Virginia, New Jersey, and California dominated the headlines, significant contests were held across the nation.

Directly defying a court order so that he can withhold food from the poor
Trump says the SNAP money that he’s been ordered by a court to release won’t be released until the government shutdown ends.

The President who threw a Gatsby-themed party the night before he cut off SNAP benefits is now vowing to break a court order so that he can force millions of children, seniors, and veterans to go hungry.

It's sickening. I won't stand for it. Time to speak up and push back.

Take this for what it is; an acknowledgment by the White House that they are not focusing on people with criminal records.

Trump is now saying he will only pay SNAP benefits once the Republican shutdown is over, despite a federal court order.

As a result, 42 million kids, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities could go hungry. This is illegal, immoral, and absolutely cruel.
