Line Dividers [New]

Add lines from the toolbar (or with 'L') to mark pages, sections, slides, and other large variable height areas that can be cumbersome to manage with boxes alone. Jump between lines, and make room in busy spaces with the 'Select All Below' button.

“While AI features get likes on Twitter, they never seemed to resonate with actual users.”

In the new Apptisan, we talk with @pketh.org , formerly co-creator of Glitch , about his spatial note-taking tool Kinopio, a canvas for collecting and connecting your thoughts, ideas, and feelings.

I'm gonna keep the next big WIP feature a secret, because it's something I've personally thought about and wanted for years.
And I think there's a high chance that you'll use it too, even if it's not expected.

I hate it when an email unsubscribe link requires you to authenticate by signing in first. I promise that no one's ever hacked into someones account to unsubscribe them from emails.

I think about 'The Web We Lost' by @anildash.com every time someone says that only OSS, or self-hosted software, can respect users.

Tech-nerd only solutions don't help everyone else. I'm not convinced that capitalism can't give us nice things without enshittification.

My stance on AI/LLMs has gotten really simple over time:
“If you can’t be bothered to write something, I can’t be bothered to read it”

Think i'll start working on a new blog post next: something I've had in the back-burner about why kinopio has both subscriptions _and_ a lifetime pricing option

Macrowave v1.1 is slowly coming together, and I am so excited about it.

A bunch of improvements for macOS and introducing the broadcaster for iOS.

The amount of times I read a great blog post and wanted to comment but couldn’t …

I think it’s a net loss that blog software went from having comments by default to not having them.

Prototyping squeezing /commands into the existing /space link UI. This saves the hassle of toggling/un-toggling the More Options button in cards.

PSA: i've been getting a lot of phishing scam emails lately for services I use (like fastmail and hover). Be sure that your email app displays full sender email addresses (which is not the default in apple mail).

It's really hard to write about the little details because they're inherently boring to most people, but if you do it right then you can turn normies into enthusiasts.

Making a marketing page on my own terms is very much a case of "If I had more time I'd write a shorter letter". Spent like 3/4 of time getting the words just right. And 1/4 on the design/code.

Instead of glossy lipstick on a pig, I want to deliver bacon.

After a year of cross-posting to twitter, mastodon, and bluesky, I'm starting to get more likes/replies on bluesky than twitter. It's finally happening.

Unlike writers, people see the compiled results of our work rather than the words we've written. So I invite you to open the web inspector and see how everything's laid out in Kinopio, I think you'll find it refreshingly straightforward and readable.
