Hiding from sun's sharp light.

Your eyes betray a tale untold,
Darkness coiled in depths cold.
Yet whispers rise, a vow once sung,

I walked moors where violins wept,
Ghosts of prayers through roses crept.
A door of light, a shadowed stain,
Marbles danced in falling rain.

Beneath a sky where mercury poured,
I knelt before my #home’s dark door.

One of my favorite books that I have ever read is Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. From the opening line, “Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again.” To the very last page is a gothic tale of love, ghosts, obsession. #readingcommunity

Silver shimmer dripped from fangs of lust,
He called her near, a serpent’s trust.
She held her ground, a fragile fight,
