Seeing several people use the “power doesn’t corrupt, it reveals” argument to persuade someone they admire that they should embrace their power as a public figure.

You all realize you don’t really know this person, right? You don’t know what power is going to reveal about them.

Just a heads up for peeps, if you bought a Neil Gaiman audiobook from Audible, they are allowing refunds for them with no questions asked and no matter how long ago you bought them. I don’t even have an active subscription and they gave me credits back for two titles purchased in 2020.

Just a reminder that there was a time when Twitter was a chill space where you could build communities and make friendly connections. It takes active work to preserve this kind of space and cultivate the kind of discourse and behavior you want to see.

Thoughts like “But this house has a spot that would be uniquely perfect for drying persimmons!” (a thing I have never done but am interested in trying) shouldn’t have very much weight in my considerations re whether or not to make an offer on a house, and yet they do…
