No riddles, people talk normally, better pacing, way shorter (4-5 hours), more interesting

An obscure detail in early Pokemon games:
In the Pewter City Pokemart in Gen 1, there is an NPC complaining that he was ripped off by a Magikarp salesman. But if you visit the same building in Gen 2, you can find the same person bragging about a Gyarados he's trained.
