Tried it today for the first time and... I whole-heartedly recommend it! Easy to tinker with, saves at 300 DPI by default... It does the job of 3-4 packages I used to need. I had two faceting variables, so split_plot () didn't quite work, but I add_ed some ggplot2 code and voilà! #tidyplots #Rstats
This is how you can generate a multiplot layout including statistics in #tidyplots 🤩

Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄 🎵

Name the tune! All done with #rstats + #ggplot2 🤓

I finally got round to exploring using grid::linearGradient()!

Here's the code: gist.github.com/cararthompso...

P.S. There was some controversy in my family about the tune, but this version looked nicer 😊

Did you know you can view a dataframe by pressing CTRL and clicking on the object in your script?

Nor me until recently...

Any nuance...yes! Only works if you have a) run your object and b) saved your script file

Excellent #RStats #Rtip to open the current working directory (or anything!)
yeah, most of the time i have the environment pane open or the files plane, unless i am plotting something :)

my latest tip is using `browseURL()` to open anything (not only the browser... for example browseURL(".") will open the current working directory with the file explorer.

One thing about the style guide is the switch to the "new" native R-pipe ( |> ) over the magrittr pipe ( %>% ). Yesterday I stumbled across a great blog post explaining the difference between the two, for those interested: www.r-bloggers.com/2022/01/unde... #Rstats

A while back, I wrote this tweet showing many (not all!) of the ways one might search for a particular set of columns in a data frame using R. Several of these approaches used the {magrittr} pipe (%>%...

Had not realized that R (>=4.0, per StackOverflow) provides selective function loading. Nice way to avoid naming conflicts.

Instead of barfing a package's entire namespace into your environment when you don't need to:

library(stringr, include.only = c("str_extract", "str_remove"))
