I believe the best art comes from someone learning rather than a ML model or what is mathematically meant to be the perfect image.

I'm impressed at how the AI industry seems to be trying to bring the rest of computing down with them.
It's a bold strategy that I don't think is going to pay off

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.

Important to add that, for post-war Germany at least, the vast majority of the people who inflicted this cruelty were quietly allowed back into society. Here's an interview with a 91 YO Auschwitz camp guard who lived a long life after overseeing systematic genocide.
SPIEGEL Interview with a 91 Year Old Former Auschwitz Guard
As a young man, Jakob W. worked in the watchtowers of Auschwitz. Charges against him were recently dropped, but he described to SPIEGEL what it was like to be a cog in the Nazis' horrific machinery of...

my parents did this with steak dinners, smoked roasts & escargot.

i nearly developed an ed & i can barely make myself eat food, in my home, that i bought, with my own money, from my own pantry.

the cruelty inflicted upon these children is permanent, intentional, & unforgivable
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

1. I'm glad "fighting words" is making a comeback

2. The degree to which fascism is happening for the likes makes me really unhappy. From literal children to the senescent child molester at the top, all these Nazis are content creators first and foremost
over on x the everything app some Chicago high school kid named Danny Spud tried to disrupt his school's anti-ICE protest by yelling about how much he loves ICE and then filmed himself getting walloped by a fellow student lmao

the quote tweet making fun of him has 3x the likes

I'm tired of seeing how every corner of the internet has to be safe for children. It doesn't. It shouldn't be. Keep those kids off the web, it's unhealthy for them. Let adults have their space. How about instead of asking us for ID like we commited a crime, you make the spaces we use 18+?
