Winter is probably the time to go - when this melts off.

This is the first traditional winter we have had in forever so maybe yh bigs won't be as bad this summer.
So the appearance of the battlefield is different. Nerds like me like to go tramping around in the woods, more difficult than it should be, and just doesn't look right.

I was trying to sell a guy on a goat petting zoo on Culp's Hill once.

He was considering it.

We spent 4-5 days in Reykjavik last Christmas. It was really overcast and we did not know about that mountain range until the last day. It was a total surprise to see it & a nice goodbye gift.

Good call.
This is my argument for Brett Goldstein.
People keep suggesting Muppet Show hosts that are wacky and high energy. Watch the old show...

Some of the best guests were always the ones that were old, low energy, and slightly grumpy.

I read about his 21-22 game when I was a kid and the stat was mind boggling.
Ken Anderson was before my time, but I grew to appreciate his impact on the Bengals. He should be in the HOF in my opinion.

How much is the Staffer Paid? and from what budget is this $$?
The White House took down the President's Truth Social post featuring a vile and racist depiction of the Obamas.

It is not enough. The White House needs to apologize for platforming this abhorrent content.
BREAKING: President Trump removes a racist video depicting the Obamas as apes. The White House initially defended the post, then blamed it on a staffer.

I don't use Reddit and was surprised to see this.
Part of the answer to “Why are so many mainstream columnists and pundits saying such transparently stupid stuff?” is that they’re still on X, and view the world through the perspective X brings them, and that perspective is dramatically warped.

SNL is basically a Variety Show and it perseveres - of course it is pretty much to the 50+ set.
The Muppet Show is so simple a show to construct, even though it's a play on a genre of TV (variety shows) that's been dead for ages.

But with the loaded cast of Muppets and the right celebrity guests, a lot of the writing is still relevant in show biz.

interesting. there was apparently a series of articles by different authors on the subject.

This summary makes Mannes seem tremendously naive by today's standards.

Do they have Prop Bets for college sports? Even in an era of NIL deals I would think those would be really easy to manipulate.
I think it has and will mirror doping where the cheaters are always one step ahead and will keep finding the next edge cases to exploit. As long as there is money to be made, people will be trying to do so. I think getting rid of prop bets and single event based bets would mitigate some of the risk

The second of Sayles two readings (from typed manuscript 3-hole punched paper!!) introduced us to Harry Bennett, a real person who did Hiring for Ford.

According to Sayles Bennett liked hiring celebrities which included Boxers for thuggish activity.
Nice! I’d love to know if he was able to find out more about all the ex-athletes Ford hired as goons for his infamous Service Department. (Eddie Cicotte was reportedly one of them.)
