Entered into a club competition subject "Candid". This was at a bus stop in London, while dark it was only about 4 or 5pm in early December. Cold but not extremely cold.

I took this in London in the lead up to Christmas. It was taken from across Picadilly not far from The Ritz and Fortnum and Mason.

#NikonZ8 f6.3, 1/1000, iso4000 70mm using a Nikkor 24-120 f4 lens.

While waiting for sunset, I played around with a Lens Ball. I quite liked this one you can see the subject in focus within the lens ball and can see everything out of focus in the background.

The 123rd Blackwood Woodchop and Easter Carnival took place on Saturday in Victoria, Australia. This was the tree climb event, I managed to capture the breakthrough.

At one of the Melbourne Airport viewing locations. A group of ravens were scavenging and I saw this one on a fence and grab something in its mouth. A quick zoom and snap and only when reviewing I realised it was a praying mantis!

I took this at Newport Workshops in Melbourne, Australia at Steamrail Victoria‘s open day weekend in March 2024. Not sure why it was there but the yellow V on the grill stood out and I love an old race car.
