What would have been the “jump in the bowl of cereal” or “eating the life-size pop tart” of the Poulan Weed eater Bowl?

“Here’s the brand new model Excelsior 2000, son. Go and trim the hedges around the stadium. You’ve earned it!”

Sit down, Google Maps. You’re drunk.

Can’t wait to see what 12th century Flemish ruling the Supreme Court comes up with to justify overturning Obergfell.

I remember watching Logan’s Run in middle school and the teacher stood up and covered the screen during the non-PG scenes.

I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop when we find out the deals all those companies signed with “America” were actually signed with, well, you know who.

At what point are we going to think”Wow, that trillion dollars we spent on AI could have been used for something useful?”

Can someone please invent a remote with an Up 5 and Down 5 volume controls so I can toggle between comfortably hearing the explosion parts and the dialogue parts without wearing out the remote?

Hello. I wrote a nice long essay about AI and this very strange moment where we're constantly told we're living in the dawn of a strange new future but the only thing that's actually clear is that everyone feels pretty unmoored and uncertain. I hope you'll read it
AI Is a Mass-Delusion Event
Three years in, one of AI’s enduring impacts is to make people feel like they’re losing it.

I can’t wait for the next set of economic reports when we’ll have added a million bajillion jobs, unemployment will be negative infinity and the GDP will be down 3% (as it would be the only one created by humans).

Ok. Our captions had it as Goo-Jah on his first visit to Ghorman.
Stupid AI.

I thought it was Goo-Jah?

I could have done with less time dealing with The Lost Boys.
I think we’ll be losing old friends in each of the three episode mini-seasons.
And is this the first time Star Wars has dealt with, um, adult themes? Brave new world.

I said as much in a text two weeks ago to a friend who regularly tries to offset my Chicken Littleness.

Though even he is firmly on the alarmist scale at this point.

There will be an election. Limited to property-owning white males. Were golden! (And also doomed.)

Can someone please explain to the GOP that the Good Olde Days they’re so desperate to get back to were that way because the top tax rate was >75%?

Use small words. And maybe a chart or two.

Can Google Maps add a setting for Simplest Route?
I know “up a block turn left; up a block turn right; up a block turn left; up a block turn right; up a block turn left; up a block turn right“ is the shortest route.
But isn’t “turn left go three blocks; turn right go three blocks” so much easier?
