This Devo documentary on Netflix is terrific. Get on it. www.netflix.com/gb/title/820...
Watch DEVO | Netflix Official Site
Interviews with the band and vivid vintage video trace Devo's evolution from their Akron, Ohio, art-rocker roots to new wave "Whip It" fame and beyond.

The last part of this article is a great case study of AI enshittification and its effect on poisoning the well of common knowledge. Andy sleuths it out and conclusively finds Arthur Conan Doyle did NOT drink in the Salisbury Arms. Bravo!

Discovered this wonderful live tube map for London, and it is beautiful. Zoom in to see buildings and watch the tube trains zoom around, zoom out to see the whole network. HT @puntofisso.bsky.social for sharing in his recent newsletter.

It's a key point that Wolfgang Blau already pointed to a decade ago in how already then UK news media was being pulled to chasing American culture war themes that are often baffling to most Brits and other Europeans because of the growing commercial importance of clicks and subscribers from the US

To the Mash House for another great gig from W. H. Lung, a band whose sound could have been precision-designed for me. Thinking Joe could do with a bigger stage though

The Ordnance Survey map app is currently half price – £17.50 for a full year, giving you access to every map, at every level of detail, plus nifty route planning tools. You can also download maps to use offline. Way better for walking than Google Maps.
