So, NYT (and most every other media outlet) you're now saying that Trump lied about the Epstein note? I just can't believe it. It can't possibly be true. It must have been a different Donald Trump. Not the one who didn't know the guy and wasn't a friend of his.

Deploying the National Guard in DC to address homelessness (I know they say "crime" but they mean "homelessness") is a huge overreach. Not everyone will agree with me, but this is my take. Happy to receive feedback! pgionfriddo.blogspot.com/2025/08/trum...

Senators Tillis and Paul are both right about the #bigbadbill. It will cut too much from Medicaid AND add too much to the deficit. Older people and people with mental health conditions will be especially adversely affected. They could and should do a whole lot better than this.

Season 3 of Ginny and Georgia is well worth the watch for anyone interested in - or managing - mental health challenges among young people and those who care for them. Outstanding exploration of trauma, depression, professional and peer support, and so much more.

On the last day of #MentalHealthMonth, I'm being seen in (lime) green! TY to @mhanational.org for establishing this important mental health awareness program back in 1953!

How great were Paige Bueckers and UConn at the end? In their last 16 games over two months, including four against #1 ranked teams, only two teams even came within 20 points of them - Southern California and Creighton.

I've noticed this new thread running through social media from Trump's more rabid supporters - "you are never going to convince us, so you should just stop posting bad stuff about Trump and making us see it." Clever. And surprisingly transparent. I think it's getting to them.

If this #textmess had happened on Biden's watch, these texters would be calling him out of touch, senile & inept, while demanding his Defense Secretary, Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, & VEEP resign. And Trump would be demanding they all be locked up. www.nbcnews.com/politics/whi...
Trump stands by national security adviser Mike Waltz despite disclosing military plans, saying he’s ‘learned a lesson’
Trump said that even though a journalist from The Atlantic was inadvertently added to a private chat about military plans, his presence had “no impact” on the military strikes in Yemen.

Sometimes ignorance is just ignorance. Other times it's evil. How can elected officials be so insensitive and stupid about the harm they are doing to people who have real mental illnesses?

Democratic Senators need to stand up for us today and not support cloture unless they get something in return. Show some strength. Make the House come back to DC to work something out that doesn't harm people. After all, I'm sure they've heard a lot from constituents by now.

If the EPA doesn't protect the environment for the next four years, it could be too late to fix it. At least Donald Trump is hawking Teslas on the White House lawn.

In the House stopgap spending bill, it looks like SpaceX gets more and mental health gets less. The rich get richer and the poor get (you fill in the right word here).

I take it back. I've always insisted that individual Presidents really couldn't have too much direct impact on the economy. But Donald Trump has proved me wrong. No one has ever before completely tanked an economy this quickly.

I don't see why some think Musk & Trump are working for free b/c they don't take salaries. No reason for Musk to take $200/day when he gets $22 billion a year in fed contracts & for Trump to take salary when he bills millions for SS in his properties. Any DOGE savings here? After all, it's our $$$.
