Dozens of people seemingly spawning out of the ether to tell these fucking mooks to go home and suck start their service weapon looks insane

Grand Theft Auto V SWAT teams and tanks don't roll up on you this fast if you've hijacked a fighter jet, and these are *unarmed civilians* running up on feds!
Video of federal agents getting run out of Lyn Lake this afternoon. Agents drop a gas can at the end and someone kicks it back at them.

Oh that sounds (literally) like a nightmare it's a coffee shop not a club

Wait if your headphones are why does the background noise need to go down

Wait hear him out

I always have mine very easily accessible and lowering the friction of getting them out has helped a lot.

Oh damn those are nice. I use safarilands

Theoretically true and also I have product recommendations for this that cost like 20 bucks. And they work like real good

Real. I have a pair of reusable ear plugs that live on my keys and they have paid for themselves so many times over in environments like this and other noisy crowded places.

Unearned is a weird term when people have to choose to follow your posts

Yeah :(

No, it was the everything. I think Sanderson uses his characters to drive the plot and doesn't necessarily let the characters do the reverse. That coupled with his pretty reprehensible personal politics and I'm significantly more lukewarm.

I have read all of these except Stormlight V. Broadly I think Stormlight I was good and II-IV were increasingly plodding and bogged down to the point that I declined to read V.

I have both been recommended and read the Mistborn trilogy as well as at least two of the time-skipped followups. I liked them quite a bit, some of Sanderson's better work.

#8 Godkiller - this one was just ok. Interesting enough premise but I felt like it got a bit thinner as it went on. Not sure how quickly or if I'll look for the sequels. Not a tremendous fan of the romance arc either.

The vid I'm thinking about (floating around on here) there's an agent standing in a fully open doorway just barely across the threshold. And he's just waiting there. Like dawg you gotta go through the door quick if you open it
January 12, 2026 at 6:15 PM
I know like .5 things about doing the above activity but even I can see what a fucking shambles it is. Why the FUCK are you hanging out in the doorway holding it open with your foot

You will cause your institutions email admins to Have Fun and they'll get to do something other than what was planned for today.

Did you hit it with an axe, goddamn
January 12, 2026 at 3:26 PM
To be clear some genius made this and I stole it in good Internet fashion
January 12, 2026 at 2:26 PM
I have just the thing for this
January 12, 2026 at 2:18 PM
I am definitely one of them but at least some of the benefit is from the positive social interactions from team stuff

This book is good and should be table stakes for talking about this topic on the left.
“In This Nonviolent Stuff’ll Get You Killed, civil rights scholar Charles E. Cobb Jr. describes the vital role that armed self-defense played in the survival and liberation of black communities in America during the Southern Freedom Movement of the 1960s.”

Yeah and at risk of giving up location information I've never been at anything with the LAPD out like that. Definitely believe that it does happen, just hasn't within my direct vision.

Going off my last post, have never once in my life seen a city cop in a variety of cities draw a handgun like this while in a skirmish line with crowd control munitions out. These guys are scared and it is fucking dangerous. Obviously the only thing to do is keep tanking their morale but woof.
ICE brandishing, not legal fucking cowards .
