The instant that Mr. Trump put himself on the Kennedy Center Board of Directors, the .Kennedy family should have initiated proceedings to remove their name until he leaves. And I don't just mean the opera house.

Is it a coincidence that Donald Trump needs to suddenly take control of "failed California" shortly after the state has slid into the slot of the 4th largest economy in the WORLD?
The California economy surpasses many of the wealthier small countries. Guess who might want a piece of that?

When news agencies begin caving and settling these lawsuits, journalistic protections are stripped away.
It isn't news if the subject of the story gets to decide whether or not it is reported.

Or, they could do their actual jobs and work across the aisle to pass meaningful legislation for Americans. No voter cast their ballot for a candidate and said, "I sure hope he spends his entire career and my tax dollars to investigate other people."

What are the statistics on presidents bringing cases to the Supreme Court? I don't recall it happening so much in the past. Almost like he is using as a personal clearing house for his directives and bypassing the justice system.

Mr. Trump is a classic case of the schoolyard bully who thumps the other kid on the head and then gloats until the other kid turns around and clobbers him back. The he whines in the corner that he has been picked on.

Bad for Nasa.
Bad for the Houston and Texas economy.
Great for Elin Musk, who is, ironically, now a Texan.
Absolutely unacceptable. This will cut so many good jobs in Houston and beyond.

We all know that NASA, and the contractors that support it, fuels new innovation.

We must have *bipartisan* outrage against this to quickly remove these bad cuts from Trump’s disastrous budget!

Opposing members of Congress who get into shouting matches where they taunt each other and engage in name-calling should be subject to a new protocol.
They should be required to sit down together and research and co-author legislation on an issue upon which they agree.

I keep reading that we need to fight back, yet the average citizen doesn't know how to fight government beyond calling and writing their elected reps.
Hers an easy one. Each of us needs to become a historian, preserving history as we know it. There are many ways to do that, many with just a click.

It's the implicit message in "Make America Great Again." It means bring back the 50's, where women stayed home and raised children, white men ruled the work force and black people were treated as second class citizens. They couch it in terms like "old fashioned values" and "glory days of America."
That seems a very intentional and targeted piece of legislation. Almost as if they miss the good old days of white supremacy.

Do you have to apply for a permit or purchase booth space to sell on the White House lawn, or can anyone just show up on Saturday morning with their shell art and homemade jam?
Critics said the spectacle stretched the bounds of what is ethical in the White House, with President Donald Trump openly seeking to boost the financial fortunes of Elon Musk.

Plans????
What are Trump's plans?
Surely you jest.
The U.S. Department of Education is moving to reduce its staff by nearly 50% through layoffs, buyouts and terminations. So, what exactly are Trump’s plans and how might they affect local education in Illinois?

Here are some answers:

Trump is moving to cut the staff by half and dismantle the department. He’s also going after DEI in higher education and funding for research.

If the standard for "decorum" is set and adhered to by all parties at all speeches, I am okay with censuring when someone breaks the rules. However, arbitrarily applying a standard doesn't do much for the integrity of the body as a whole.
Not a bad time to donate to Al Green.
I think Green knew exactly what he was doing, what was going to happen as a result, and couldn’t care less about this. The last House Dem they censured went on to get elected to the Senate.
