One of the nice things about focusing on fantasy football is when I am proven right, there are some people who care that I was right, because it hopefully helped them in their fantasy league. Not the vast majority of people, but some people
As someone who is frequently wrong, @minakimes.bsky.social nailed this: "You get nothing out of being proven right and only get... people take joy when you're proven wrong"

The Patriots took the game statuses on the injury report very seriously this week.

They listed everyone on the injury report with a game status of questionable, even Hunter Henry and Morgan Moses, who only missed some practice as veteran rest days.

Here is how the Hall of Fame currently looks, peaking at just over 80 players around 1969-1972.

How many active players do you think should eventually make the Hall of Fame?

- Don't worry about current rules about how many people make the hall each year.
- It's too early to know if several young players will eventually be worthy but make some assumptions that players continue their trajectory

One of the Hall of Fame voters said he voted for the 3 senior candidates because they are deserving, have waited decades, and are less likely to get another chance than Belichick.

My TLDR on all my Hall of Fame posts:

Don't hate the voter, hate the process
January 28, 2026 at 12:46 AM
This could be L.C. Greenwood's last shot of making the Hall of Fame. If he doesn't get in, he's likely done. If Belichick doesn't get in, he will probably be the coach finalist again next year.

Eric Allen got in last year, in part because he was in his second to last year of modern eligibility.
Mike Sando makes a lot of good points here around why Belichick might not have made it. The fact that he will likely be on the ballot next year while the other senior candidates probably won't be is something I wasn't thinking of.
Mike Sando's got a post on X about just why Belichick may not have made it, and he points out a lot of the strategic voting that the new Hall rules from last year created are a significant factor.

We all expected them to change back eventually; this may make eventually now.
