I've seen "connard" all the time in French (from France) publications bandes-dessinees etc… is 'trou de cul' more of a Quebec variation or just a bit more vulgar, perhaps?

It's taken me far too long to appreciate the fact that those of us who enjoy the privilege of living in multilingual countries have a huge advantage. I believe people who decide to limit themselves to only one language, really hurt themselves.
