I am old enough to have listened to the wireless, but now I take my music wirelessly! I do reckon that 99% of music created after 1980 is rubbish though.

When I was in senior school, mercury was available in the lab & blow football games, with a blob of Hg as a ball were very popular amongst the class. I suspect that wouldn't happen today.

Good to catch up with you. Heading back to Scotland tomorrow after a fantastic trip. (135 Species and 3,500+ images.) South Texas in Spring is brilliant.

The previous birds were taken in the morning. When I came back later in the day, I came across this sight, which grew into 9 species of birds on one small bit of water. #Birds

You can often see rails up close and personal at SPI as evidenced by this Clapper Rail #Birds

Next are some slightly older Green Heron chicks, doing a great scruffy teenager impersonation. #Birds

Just had a fantastic day at South Padre Island Nature Sanctuary. If there's a better place to see and photograph many species of birds up close, I've yet to find it. We'll start with a Green Heron on the nest with 3 hungry chicks.

We're now heading South with LRGV as the weekend destination. Stopped off today in Qunitano and whilst my bird of the day was a Black-throated Blue Warbler, photo of the day goes to these fighting Grackles

Day 3 of our Texan odyssey started at the ever excellent Anahuac NWR where this Dowitcher was looking particularly smart. #Birds

Day 2 of our Texas trip and High Island was the place this afternoon when a Painted Bunting took a bath after flying up over the Gulf. #Birds

Ditto - I go for Euromillions, but only when it's worth winning - £50 Million jackpot is my trigger to buy a ticket.

It's the old Gold & Silver Hide that's been refurbished courtesy of Glengoyne. There's also some new scrapes in the field opposite that are good for ducks and waders in the Winter

Don't laugh, I once flew back from the US with a lady from Paris, Texas who wanted to know if they had McDonalds in Scotland. After I said that they did and she could have breakfast at Glasgow Airport after she landed, I asked where she was going. Tiree was the answer. Bit of a drive to a McD's!

They are very specific vintage wines and not all of them are 40 years old. The 30+ year old ones are doing very nicely indeed.

I've got the opposite problem. I'm 70 and downstairs I've got around 600 bottles of wine, amassed over 40 something years. My challenge is to get them all enjoyed before I pop my clogs, whilst my kids keep telling me,e to buy more.
