Exciting announcement!!

I’m running for Massachusetts State Senate for the Norfolk and Suffolk District of Massachusetts! I pledge to fight for the families in Boston, Dedham, Norwood, Walpole, and Westwood to build a fair economy where families—not billionaires—come first.

Grateful to stand alongside organizers, workers, and community members today—protesting ICE and standing shoulder to shoulder with unions. Sending solidarity to Minnesota and everyone fighting for dignity, safety, and justice. 💙

Moved by MLK Jr. Day celebrations in Hyde Park and Dedham. Our community leaders carry forward Dr. King’s call for justice—and it’s on all of us to keep pushing for a more fair and inclusive future.

Today, we celebrate the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr and honor the legacy of the civil rights leader by committing to uphold and work towards the cause of racial and economic justice.

“I would love to move away from a debt-financed higher education system,” said Persis Yu, ... “But that requires real investment in higher education, both on the federal and state level. What [the OBBBA] does is restrict access on one end, without providing the funding on the other end.”

We’re 100 days in, and 100% committed to keeping up the fight! Last October, I launched this campaign to build a Commonwealth where democracy truly starts at home, from reliable public transit to affordable childcare, from safer streets to fairer wages.

Through all the darkness, it’s encouraging to see so many community members standing up against the atrocities committed by our federal government.

Thanks to @prowroxroz.bsky.social and LUCE for organizing our community!

Democracy truly does start at home.

I am deeply disturbed by the shooting involving ICE in Minneapolis. Any act of violence is devastating, and my thoughts are with everyone harmed, their families, and the community grappling with the fear and trauma this has caused. And sadly, it happens too often at the hands of this administration

If you can't attend a protest, I would suggest speaking to your values in whatever ways you can, and attending to something *you can do*. Remember, many things are happening at once. They want to keep your head spinning.

Let purpose preempt despair.

Proud of everyone who showed up to protest this illegal and immoral attack!

It’s time to end our reliance on oil. End war for oil. Support sustainable energy.

This holiday season, I’m grateful for the everyday places we show up for each other–at home, on the bus, in our congregations. Rest, reconnect, and take care of one another.

Happy New Year 🎊
