Here’s my proper intro thread!

I design unique and sometimes unhinged knitting patterns (mostly socks). I have technique videos and help articles on my website: www.periwinkledragon.ca

🧶 I love indie yarn, and I like to find ways to use wild colourways that are more interesting than vanilla socks.

I want to enjoy yoga. It seems like a thing I should like: slow-paced, detail-oriented, easy to see incremental improvements in your skills over time. But every time I take a yoga class, I hate it. Trying to learn enough to not be a beginner anymore is a nightmare.

My big July project was releasing five new sock patterns for my latest eBook! I had so much fun designing and knitting the patterns for Interjection! Socks, and after months of work behind the scenes, it’s so great to have them all finally released.

I have disliked PP since I met him in 2015, before most people knew he existed but after he’d already been the architect of (later overturned) voter suppression laws.

The fact that he is fine with allowing foreign interference in his party and our democracy is not a surprise.

I knew when I chose this yarn for a design sample that I was making a mistake — it is very difficult to photograph. But TBH I just really wanted these neon rainbow knitted socks. 🤣

Aren't They Glorious - January's Jurassic Park club colourway! This one couldn't have turned out more perfect, even if we tried lol. The jeep from Jurassic Park is such an iconic image, and its colours are instantly recognizable to even the most casual of viewer.
