I worked at a chain retailer that got bought by several entities who went in together on it.
They bought it for the stated purpose of selling the merchandise it had in stock in a fire sale, making more than the bankruptcy price they paid for it.
Feels a little like that in the US right now.

One of the reasons we switched to touchscreen keyboards was the promise of being able to put anything on those screens.
UI can be anything! Less hardware waste/custom manufacturing!
But our tech looks like shit, all apps are busted anyway & people still buy new phones every year. GIMME BUTTONS!

The amount of times I type in a word that's in a program name, have it initially show the app icon but when I click, it's changed and I'm doing a search for "encoder" instead of opening Media Encoder...
