It’s time for Senator Schumer to step down as minority leader.

He is incapable of the bold, decisive leadership we need right now. Let someone else step up. Someone who will fight for the people and get them in the streets.

Don’t let the GOP play on their terms.

Show some fucking courage.

@schumer.senate.gov Read the room and grow a spine. I’ve voted Dem my whole adult life but you can forget anymore donations for automatic votes from me. I’ll vote for the ones that actually care about defending our country. If you’re not up to the job, get out of the way.

@schumer.senate.gov The current CR cuts funding for burn pits and toxic exposures veterans experienced while SERVING OUR COUNTRY. Not only is this vote against protecting federal workers, it’s a vote against veterans. It’s clear that federal workers are working harder to protect the constitution.

Democrats, Trump is increasingly unpopular and he will keep sinking as he destroys the economy. For the love of God, stand up and fight. Don't cave. Be an opposition party and reflect the anger of the majority. Win over people. It won't be as hard as you think. Stop being scared.

Again: this is why Schumer can’t coast on some bullshit “Democrats kept the government open” media narrative nonsense. Trump is already shutting down the government. Trump HAS already shut down the government. What he wants is for Democrats to sign off on it as legitimate.

@fetterman.senate.gov I’m a federal employee in your district. It’s not a vote to shut it down it is refusing to roll over and continue to let Musk and Trump dismantle our government. A recession is certainly on the way (massive unemployment of feds, tariffs etc.) Grow a spine
The weeks of performative “resistance” from those in my party were limited to undignified antics.

Voting to shut the government down will punish millions or risk a recession.

I disagree with many points in the CR, but I will never vote to shut our government down.

Fact checks: not a free speech issue

This right here? THIS is an attack, by the government, on your constitutional right to protest against oppression.
Real question. What is an “illegal protest”? Real question. He was convicted of a crime. Why hasn’t he been expelled?

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished

What's it gonna take for everyone to realize the occupant of the white house is fundamentally anti-American?
Trump thinks anyone protesting must be from another country when the right and will to protest our own government is a foundational American value.

I’m a federal employee. I go to work like anyone else. I’m 6 months pregnant and my job/health insurance/most of our household income is being threatened daily. You have more in common with every fed than you do with any billionaire or any member of congress. Don’t believe their lies -

As a federal employee, you should all be fuckin terrified. This is impacting us most right now, but they are fucking us all in the long run
