First up, these two backgrounds I painted for @peleaanimation.bsky.social. I had the job of painting a lush Colombian jungle scene and the destruction of that same jungle for oil drilling. I was out of my comfort zone for the latter because of the heavy machinery and the oil drills-

Without an end to the armed conflict that drove them away from home, they can’t return to their territories. The Emberá dream is to be able to go home. ⁣Until they are able to return to their territories, they deserve just and dignified living conditions in the cities they seek refuge in. ⁣

This is artwork I made for Humanconet’s campaign for the displaced Emberá people seeking refuge in Bogotá.

Just 2 km from the Colombian Presidential Palace, over 1,800 Emberá people, displaced by armed conflict, are living in dangerously overcrowded conditions meant for only 450 inhabitants.⁣⁣
