“Pelea” is a 2d short film about a coup in the fictional South American nation of Vivencia. Stay tuned for production updates!

First up, these two backgrounds I painted for @peleaanimation.bsky.social. I had the job of painting a lush Colombian jungle scene and the destruction of that same jungle for oil drilling. I was out of my comfort zone for the latter because of the heavy machinery and the oil drills-

Picture this: a 2d hand drawn animated movie taking place in a tricolor (🇨🇴🇻🇪🇪🇨) South American country with a lesbian love story at the heart of it, fungi-based steampunk inventions, and an anti-imperialist plot.

Pelea Animation is an indie animation studio dedicated to bringing anti imperialist films to life.

“Pelea”, our debut film of the same name as our studio, is a 2D animated short film currently in production.

The film is about land defense in South America, this is our first poster. #pelea #2d

This is artwork I made for Humanconet’s campaign for the displaced Emberá people seeking refuge in Bogotá.

Just 2 km from the Colombian Presidential Palace, over 1,800 Emberá people, displaced by armed conflict, are living in dangerously overcrowded conditions meant for only 450 inhabitants.⁣⁣

COVER REVEAL - Excited to show the cover for my YA debut graphic novel, SILENCED VOICES. I've been working on this for the last 3 years or so.

This book is very close to my heart. I used a lot of historical research, and my own experiences living in Guatemala during the last years of the civil war
