This is why I applied for my kids US passports the week they were born, and why when I became a US citizen I immediately got my US passport and Enhanced driver's license. This was in 2020, and people said I was paranoid even then.
Some longer thoughts on this topic over on my site. Also, if you're a native-born US citizen, now is an excellent time to get a certified copy of your birth certificate, and to get a passport with a passport card:

Do I know anybody who knows health insurance? I want to buy a family health insurance plan, but this seems to entail getting a degree in Financial Medical Bullshit and I just don't have the time.

Doing ransomware remediation gives me insights into so many different company cultures. You see the ones who are trying to do their best, despite a lack of time, training, or talent. And then you see the ones who just want to get paid and go home. Those are the ones that get hit and stay down longer
