Pearl for today: The Lord's people are sinners who are reconciled with God through the gospel. We have responded to Him in faith and have the righteousness of Jesus imputed (or transferred) to us, like a fine garment that's been freely given to us. God has also transferred our sin to Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the principal guide for our individual and collective lives, like a cornerstone was the principal stone in ancient buildings. His death and resurrection make it possible for anyone to be one of God's people. No one should reject Him as their Lord and Savior, but some will choose to.

Another pearl for today: The kingdom of God is for His people, who build upon a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. They produce the fruit of righteousness and obedience to Him in their daily lives.

Another pearl for today: The Lord's people may be tempted to value immediate acceptance in worldly organizations over our eternal acceptance in His kingdom. However, with the Holy Spirit's help, we can resist this temptation and prioritize being His good and faithful servants here and now.

Pearl for today: The ultimate joy that we have as the Lord's people isn't dependent on our circumstances, but on His character and promises instead. We find our security in His steadfastness, align our lives with His truth, and can express the true joy that comes from living in harmony with Him.

Another pearl for today: Sin is the underlying tragedy that damages relationships and creates division. Healing and reconciliation doesn't happen without work. Only Christ's finished work on the cross is sufficient to fully heal and restore relationships damaged by sin.

Another Pearl for today: The root cause of division, war, and death in this tragic world, is sin. Because of it, complete peace and unity in this world won't happen until the Lord's return and restoration. However, His people can be at peace with Him now, through Christ.
