Kindness and empathy are strengths
It says a lot about how we treat the human body that nudists and naturists are at the margins of society while creepy sexual predators gain access to levers of power the world over.

Maybe they shouldn’t get to drive the narrative.

The biggest hurdle for naturism? Misunderstanding. Let's be clear: This is an ethical, non-sexual practice focused on well-being and nature connection. It's the normalization of the human form, nothing more. #naturism #misconceptions #education

This guy was falling apart a few months ago. This was shortly after I thought I was having a heart attack and checked myself into the ER. Turns out I was handling stress poorly. I’ve moved on to setting better boundaries, eating better, exercising again, and reengaging with this community.

Heed this.
"Monday Motto" - If your camera keeps zooming in on your genitals, you’ve missed the whole point of naturism and nudism. It’s about people, not parts. It's not a biology or anatomy lesson. It’s about comfort, respect, and being real. Zoom out. There’s a whole person there.

I may not always meditate atop a cliff in Hawaii, but this throwback was built for Stress Awareness Day.

It’s no coincidence that after recent stress-induced incidents that I’ve reconnected with my most comfortable way of being.

During the first fall of the pandemic, online connection was a lifeline to combat isolation.

Having returned recently, I’m grateful to those who’ve followed and are helping me rebuild my connection to this community.

18 years ago, my first naturist photo was taken in a secluded spot on a Malibu beach. After we got home, we transferred the photos and wiped the card before giving the borrowed digital camera back. We never imagined phones would be cameras.

Naturism and Woke Values: Why Naturists Get It Right
Is naturism “woke”? Absolutely. Respect, equality, body freedom, and caring for the planet are baked into naturism. Here’s why naturism and woke is a strength, not an insult.

Hate, including self-hatred, is learned. It’s conditioning or a choice, not inherent.

What if we raised people to feel worthy from their earliest days? What if we redeemed people who break the internal or external cycles?

Everybody is worthy of dignity.

Every body is worthy of dignity.

This is my all-time favorite photo of myself. I was weeks from marriage looking back at the love of my life. I actually had a raging headache and a lot of studying to do. But you wouldn’t know it.

Find someone who accepts you for you. It makes a world of difference.

Thanks to all who got out there today. Wish I could’ve. Peaceful protest is our right. No matter how much the right wing lies about us.

Let’s put the ☮️ in ☮️ ❤️ 🍑.

My grandfather’s stories about WWII planted the seeds of pacifism. As a child I was challenged to fights and refused, recognizing the futility of battling. For anyone who has striven for nonviolence in their lives, I recommend this book that I read many years ago.

Truth.
You deserve acceptance. This is fundamental to the naturist philosophy.

1) When I am nude among fellow nudists or with trusted non-naturists, I am very comfortable in my skin. I don’t even think about it.

I’ve discovered that I am calmer with a more natural, less strained look in my eyes and smile when I take an unclothed photo. It is the purest expression of my being, of who I am at my core.

We are called to love people as they are for who they are. We start by doing that for ourselves.

A few weeks ago, I landed in the ER thinking cardiac event, but instead I learned I was holding a ton of tension in my upper body. That event led me back here to reconnect with this wonderful community.

Reconnecting with you has brought me back into myself. Things are looking up.

Nature plays a huge role in my being nudist. Not only being outdoors, but also my deep interest in conservation and preservation of habitats.

For me, nudism (or naturism) and environmental consciousness go hand-in-hand.

Love yourself by loving the planet.

Is it coincidence that I returned here to reconnect with my community and today is World Mental Health Day?

Yes, it’s a coincidence.

But fitting.

With the weather flipping the switch to autumn, here’s a little warmth in the timeline from late spring 2022.

The Ledges in Vermont are a special place, one of my favorite spots on the planet. Living the way I was meant to be, I always feel whole there.

Society’s collective gymnophobia has cut us off from that which makes us whole: connection to our own bodies.

Polluting thoughts of never being good enough make it hard to show empathy, understanding, and humanity to others.

All bodies are worthy of dignity and respect.

Reconnect.
