So pleased & proud of Alabama for crafting a terrific COS for AL students!
Alabama's social studies curriculum is getting a major overhaul! The state board of education unanimously approved changes that will take effect as early as 2026, covering topics from Alabama history to the Holocaust.
Updates will make Alabama social studies classes ‘strongest’ in US on this topic
Students also will get more instruction on state history.
