I write about and review films for Film-news.co.uk. Horror in the main but I'm happy to cover all genres. Long time comic collector. After years of neglect getting stuck back into music.🇪🇦🇬🇧

The BFI is having something of a purple patch with their current releases from their vaults and this rather obscure British ‘B’ movie is a very welcome addition to the list.

British film noir from 1956. Solid if stiff with shades of 12 Angry Men. Director Terence Fisher is better known for horror films. Endless smoking and a bottles of beer while the jury deliberate is quite funny. A daft ending lets it down. #NowWatching #filmnoir @indicator.bsky.social

Not a great film but interesting to see it made amidst Berlin's ruins (1955), an earlish George Cole role and Richard Widmark scooting around in a tiny Messerscmitt car. @indicator.bsky.social

Luc Besson’s take on Bram Stoker’s classic is careful to keep it familiar but also more than content to adapt it for his own unique interpretation of the story.
