Bluesky, friends!!

I'm looking to connect with someone who has gotten a bill passed by Congress/at state level 📜🔍 Politician or general advocate!

I'm making a tool that *should* help with civic participation (@broadsideapp.bsky.social) & can obvi use Google, but I want to know the REAL issues.

@broadsideapp.bsky.social is live and I can't wait to hear what people think!

I made Broadside because the people need an easy way to hold our representatives accountable, understand policy, and tell their friends/family about it. This is just the beginning!

FSU just had its *SECOND* campus shooting in the past 11 years and we have reps actively introducing bills like this one...

Commending Trump is clearly high prio in the USA right now.

The disconnect is insane.

Watching an old presentation on the Netflix algorithm and the VP of Prod got feedback once that it was "fugly" lol

Here is my official proposal to bring that adjective onto more customer surveys.

OMG. Last night's lunar eclipse -- as seen from the Moon!

The Blue Ghost lander got this shot. The Sun is overexposed, but in the reflection you can see it's almost fully eclipsed by the Earth. 🧪🔭

I've heard plenty of people say that kids today *just want to be influencers* or YouTubers. Funny enough, that NOW translates to: "I want to build a massive cult-like following so I can skip the whole merit thing everyone wants and jump straight to the top of the US government!" 🤪

Ironic that bills on government transparency can take so much research to follow 😮‍💨

Representative Quigley is a champion for transparency and I look forward to watching his latest initiatives using trackthebills.com
Why is it still so hard to track initiatives and elected representatives activity in 2025?

Let's change that.

Every policy we navigate today is built on the foundation of what came before — hidden provisions, quiet compromises, and power plays etched into law. 📜🔍

OoO00ops I am doing a thing ✨📜✨

While I am very open about my personal political views, I have a strong stance that EVERYONE should be able to easily understand what each piece of US legislature says and *actually* means if it passes.

Dems should propose a law that immediately requires every fed agency to post on @bsky.app account, every outlay with a detailed description, $, and a link to existing gov sites with in depth details

Rather than trying to keep Elon out, pre-empt him so he cant miss characterize spending.

Whenever you hear someone sneer about scientific research that seems useless to them — “they’re studying the spit of lizards?!” — remind them that’s exactly how we got Ozempic.

Universities stayed quiet as the admin targeted DEI & foreign aid, censored research, etc.

Now, they face devastating cuts to indirect cost rates, threatening research & operations.

Silence won’t protect institutions. It won’t protect people; it never does.
