UH men's basketball as of this morning is 1st nationally in turnover % & 5th nationally in opponent turnover %.
Obviously, continuing to improve at putting the ball in the basket will be vital going into March but being elite at both protecting the ball and taking it away is an incredible combo

7-0 Coogs, top of the 6th in the 2nd of the weekend against HCU. Gigi Solis currently has 5.2 scoreless IP, multiple RBI from Ariel Redmond and Makenna Mitchell. Kylei Griffin also gets her 1st UH HR in this one.
8-1 Coogs win their opener over HCU. 1 game against an outmatched team, but dont believe my hopes that this team can hit a bit are misplaced.
London Park is the 1st Cougar pitcher to start in the circle, also frosh Leilani Garcia (SS) and Ronnie Esparza (1B) are in the lineup.

I had a spirited back & forth with my regular co-host last night about this post TCU win and I think the biggest reason I'm so bullish on UH MBB is that while its not always pretty (last night wasnt for extended stretches), I don't believe there's a team head & shoulders above UH in the country.

UH Tennis has yet to drop a point this year! Another 4-0 road win to add to the pile as Sophie Schouten, Iva Sepa, and Valeriia Krokhotina won in straight sets in their matches to clinch the Coogs' win.
