It’s December, so #christmas decorations have been put up. Also started the advent calendar for our new toy … a #velvetiser by #hotelchocolat - different hot chocolate for the next 24 days. Absolutely exquisite hot chocolate, can highly recommend.

This is my first Bluesky post! I'm a professional tree portrait #artist living in the UK. I travel far and wide, meeting and drawing all kinds of #trees. I draw them in detail and add their #GPS location reference. Hopefully you'll visit the trees and recognise them from my faithful sketches 💚✍️🌳

Never a truer word said!
AI’s place is to assist us, not to create art. It lacks the very thing that makes us human which is also the only origin of all art: human consciousness

Let’s see how it goes here by sharing a boring article I wrote on an important topic that all artists will be confronted with at some point. bwvision.com/art-the-arti...
Art, the Artist, and AI - BWVision
Art, artists, AI and the fundamental question whether an artist can be called an artist when using AI to create the results.

Pass it on: Bluesky is fast becoming a powerhouse.
Bluesky Is Turning Into a Strong X Alternative
Bluesky has a hint of the old Twitter magic, but the feeling of freedom it offers might be even better.

Historians will be left scratching their heads, trying to understand how we arrived here. Collective memory is fleeting, and it will only shrink further as the US cuts funding to educational institutions. Just look into the robber barons and, dare I say it, the rise of fascism in Nazi Germany.

As it’s a race weekend, here’s an image of the home of Formula 1. A low shot of the deserted track at #Silverstone, taken in front of the original pit lane on the national pits straight.

FWIW there's a moderation list "content scrapers" available at bsky.app/profile/did:... which lets you block such (identified) accounts.

This past summer, I had an opportunity to follow and photograph several colonies of oak treehoppers from newly laid eggs to the emergence of adults. Oak treehoppers are unique in that mamas stay with and protect their young throughout their entire development. Check out this emergence of an adult!

After a busy day, and having somehow sprained my wrist, I’m now sat waiting for my wife while she has her nails done. Could do with a coffee to be honest!

Non-wildlife photo post!

I took this photo of a horse almost 10 years ago. The original colour image didn't really stand out. Years later, I played around with it and tried a high contrast B&W edit, and boom! suddenly it came to life for me.
