The lion's mane jellyfish is one of the largest species of jellyfish. Its is found in the cold, boreal waters of the Arctic, N Atlantic & N Pacific Oceans. The largest recorded specimen was measured off the coast of Massachusetts in 1865 & had a bell diameter of 7 ft & tentacles around 120 ft long.
