When you agree to pass 5 of 6 appropriations bills, then you later agree to pass funding for everything that is in the 6th bill except for one agency (ICE) that has already been prefunded in a previous bill, you are giving up every bit of leverage you have and selling out.

This pattern is repeated again and again in Trump's behavior – he derives particular joy-pleasure by mocking someone/something (in this example, it's religion) whilst simultaneously using it as a tool to his advantage.
Trump mocks the idea of praying during a meal at the National Prayer Breakfast:
“Mike Johnson is a very religious person... He’ll say to me sometimes at lunch, ‘Sir, may we pray?’ I say, ‘Excuse me?’ You know, we’re having lunch.”

If Dem senators vote to extend the DHS CR again, they are instantly going to lose a tremendous amount of support from their base who have been in wait-and-see mode on this. I can only assume Dem senators considering this have completely lost touch with their voters. Don’t do it.
